From Computer Associates International, Inc., Garden City, N.Y., CA-Datacom/Transparency for DB2 allows existing DB2 applications to run in the CA-Datacom environment without modification.

Source programs written for DB2 are precompiled with CA's SQL compiler; CA-Datacom then returns the same DB2 SQL return codes so that the program continues to operate as it did before. The new version of CA-Datacom also provides extensive integration with the vendor's CA-Top Secret and CA-ACF2 security products.

Release 8.1 of CA-Datacom, with Transparency for DB2, is priced from $39,200 to $98,000.
