ClariNet's Folk music - ClariNet Communications Corp names Roy Folk president and chief operating officer - Company Operations - Brief Article

Software Magazine, Feb, 1996

Will the Internet pay off? ClariNet Communications Corp. says "Yes!" Founder Brad Templeton has turned a project that grew out of the rec.humor.funny Usenet group into a full-fledged news service that last year reported its one millionth paid subscriber. (Note the adjective "paid.") In 1994, Templeton tapped Roy Folk, formerly of Ashton-Tate, VisiCalc and Paladin Software, to serve as president and chief operating officer.

"I see the same sense of 'Aha!' [the joy of discovery] here today as I saw when I was at VisiCalc," said Folk.
