Ernst & Young, Dallas is developing a version of EY/Gems, its Global Expatriate Management System, for the PeopleSoft HRMS marketed by PeopleSoft. A DOS version exists today, according to Jay Levine, Ernst & Young director of Expartriate Technology, Technology Services Group, Washington, D.C.

A Windows version will be released in the first half of '95 for the LAN environment. "We see EY/Gems for PeopleSoft filling a gap for multinational companies," said Levine. Global functionality addresses translation and currency issues.

"Using our PeopleTools to build an EY/Gems version brings [us] tremendous value," said Row Henson, director of product marketing at the fast-moving Walnut Creek, Calif.-based PeopleSoft. "Many of our customers are global organizations with a global workforce."
