Software Magazine, March, 1997
Willows Software Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., has unveiled its Willows RT cross-platform toolkit for porting Microsoft Windows-based applications to embedded systems.
The product enables a realtime operating system and Windows application -- either third-party or in-house developed -- to work together. With Willows RT, developers maintain a single source tree for all targeted platforms. Its modular design includes an embeddable library, which is based on a single set of source code, and a Platform Abstraction Layer, which contains all system-dependent code.
Willows RT averages about $5,000 per developer plus value-based runtime fees.
