Excalibur Technologies Corp., Vienna, Va., has expanded its RetrievalWare family of data retrieval products with Excalibur WebSynchro.
In addition to indexing an intranet to allow for shared knowledge, WebSynchro's crawler processes can be configured to explore and index internal or external Web sites for user-specified areas of in-terest. Users can control Web- Synchro's information-gathering activities by specifying the URLs to visit; limiting or including specific domains, hosts, directories and document types; and specifying the number of links to follow from the initial entry point of a site and how often it should visit a site.
