Asymetrix Corp., Bellevue, Wash., is shipping Asymetrix InfoModeler, a Windows-based database design tool that supports Microsoft FoxPro, Microsoft Access, Borland Paradox, Oracle 7, and Microsoft and Sybase SQL Server.
Asymetrix InfoModeler is based on the object role modeling methodology (ORM), and uses a natural language format. A conceptual view of the information system reflects the data requirements along with samples of the data. A logical view is then generated by mapping English facts into relational databases.
