LoadRunner Client/Server, from Mercury Interactive Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif., supports both client and server performance and load testing.

The product enables application developers to test multiuser systems by simulating maximum load conditions. LoadRunner Client/Server bundles Mercury's LoadRunner/PC, a client load testing tool for Microsoft Windows-based applications; and LoadRunner/XL, which can simulate up to thousands of MS-Windows applications transmitting SQL calls on a Unix workstation. LoadRunner Client/Server enables developers to determine, prior to deployment, the maximum number of users the system can support, the system response time to an end-user request, and the system's ability to perform under varying load conditions.

LoadRunner Client/Server is priced at $50,000.
