The Dublin, Ohio-based Interchange Software Division of Sterling Software Inc. has unveiled Gentran:Server 2.3, the latest release of the firm's next-generation electronic commerce software.

Gentran:Server 2.3 is an intelligent messaging gateway made up of intelligent agents, which recognize data patterns and respond to events using customizable scripts to direct EDI and non-EDI data within the system. Features such as data archiving, life cycle tracking, customized mailbox services, and EDI translation facilitate rapid installation and implementation.

Pricing for Version 2.3, including on-site installation assistance and other value-added services, starts at $95,000.
