SequeLink Engine moves beyond SQL - TechGnosis Inc.'s database management system add-on program - New Products: Minicomputers - product announcement

Software Magazine, July, 1991

SequeLink Engine, from TechGnosis Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., extends the functionality of the company's SequeLink client/server architecture beyond SQL databases, enabling the host operating systems, applications and nonrelational DBMSs to perform as servers for applications running on Microsoft Windows, Macintosh and Presentation Manager-based workstations.

To develop a customized SequeLink server, a generic server template is filled with the desired functionality. SequeLink Engine manages all networking interaction, server process and session management, and memory allocation.

The package currently supports the following databases: Oracle, Ingres, Sybase, OS/2 EE Database Manager, Rdb and SQL/400. Host platform support is available for all Digital Equipment Corp. computers running VMS, as well as versions for OS/2, Sun Sparc, Macintosh A/UX and the RS/6000. Prices for the engine range from $475 to $19,000.
