American music grants - Grants - Brief Article

The National Music Foundation's American Music Education Initiative is awarding grants of $500 to K-12 teachers with unique lesson plans that utilize American music. The lessons can be in music or in any other academic subject, and can cover any type of American music (including blues, rock, rap, country, jazz, or folk).

Selected finalists and semi-finalists will each receive grants of $500, and all their lesson plans will be published on the foundation's Web site, where they will be available at no charge for other teachers to use or adapt.
