Get On the Brain Bus! - Brief Article
Instructor, Sept, 2000 by Ruwan Jayatilleke
Why are children from all over America cheering for a certain bright yellow school bus? It can only mean one thing--the Brain Quest bus has arrived to get kids fired up about learning, and to spread the message: "It's OK to be Smart."
The "Brain Quest Challenge" has brought game show excitement to hundreds of schools in over 20 states. Based on school curriculums, the quiz show questions cover English, math, science, and geography. Teams made up of second- to fifth-graders first ply their wits against teams from their own school and then against other schools for a chance at winning prizes for themselves and their schools. No matter which team wins, everyone gets a prize from Brain Quest and experiences the fact that learning can be fun.
