Electronic music composition talent search

Instructor, March, 2005

Celebrate March's Music in Our Schools Month by entering this electronic music competition, sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (MENC) and the National School Boards Association (NSBA).

CATEGORIES: K-5; 6-8; 9-12

DEADLINE: April 15, 2005

HOW IT WORKS: Teachers may submit original student compositions no more than five minutes in length. Compositions must use electronic instrument(s) or other electronic media for manipulating sound and may be combined with vocal and/or acoustic instruments, live or recorded.

PRIZES: Winners in each category will be recognized at the NSBA's 2005 T+L2 conference in Denver in October. Winners' schools will also receive electronic music software from Sibelius, educational materials from MENC, and more.
