Math Heads - Software Review - Evaluation
Instructor, April, 1997 by Gail Lovely
This is math software for the music video generation. First, students create their character by choosing from a wide selection of heads, bodies, and accessories, including their own digitized pictures. Then they can sample quick math lessons on the Informercial Channel; participate in Go Mental, a word-problem game that is set up like the game show Hollywood Squares; combine mental computation with dance floor strategy in Dance 'til You Drop; or create a music video using graphic depictions of fractions and percentages. Math Heads will definitely engage your students and help them see math as something social and cool - what more could you ask for?
