Wireless Echo Cancellation - Tellabs' Tellabs VERITY 3100 - Brief Article - Product Announcement
Telecommunications, Nov, 2000
Tellabs
Maintaining consistent voice quality is key for wireless and long-distance providers. Tellabs continues to enhance its position in echo cancellation technology with the VERITY 3100 system, a high-density T1/E1 echo control and voice-quality enhancement solution. VERITY 3100 can process 64 T1 or E1 network interfaces. A 7-foot rack holds six systems to accommodate 384 T1/E1 trunks. In addition, VERITY includes three optional voice-quality enhancements: TLC (Tellabs level control), TAC (Tellabs acoustic control) and TNR (Tellabs noise reduction). TLC optimizes speech levels by automatically compensating for high or low audio levels that may be present at network interfaces; TAC prevents acoustic echo generated in wireless handsets and TNR reduces the background noise typically found in wireless environments. VERITY is available this quarter.
