Improving Customer Relations - News Briefs - Brief Article
Telecommunications, Feb, 2002
Helping customers help themselves, thereby cutting costs and improving customer service, CLEC ITC DeltaCom deployed software from edocs that allows customers to view their bills online. With other service providers recognizing the efficiencies that such billing and CRM (customer relationship management) software offers, the market is expected to pick up significantly over the next few years, research firm Aberdeen Group says, especially overseas, where non-North American markets accounted for more than 38 percent of total worldwide CRM spending last year.
Among those overseas carriers, Australia's Telstra said it will use software from NCR's Teradata division to handle customer data for the Telstra Retail and Telstra OnAir divisions.
