The FAA announced the following meetings:
* Oct. 11-14, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., "Aeronautical Information Services Data Link," at RTCA, Inc., Colson Board Room, 1828 L St., NW, Suite 805, Washington, D.C. See www.rtca.org.
* Oct. 12, 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Aging Transport Systems Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ATSRAC). This meeting is held by teleconference. The teleconference number for callers within the U.S. is 866-442-8714. For international callers, the number is 281-540-4931. Once connected, follow the prompts. The pass code is 9177755. The meeting is important, as a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) is forthcoming on wiring systems (to be discussed in next week's issue).

* Oct. 19, from 9 a.m., Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC), Homewood Suites Seattle-Tacoma Airport, 6955 fort Dent Way, Tukwila, Wash. Items on the agenda include: European Aviation Safety Agency report, Ice Protection Harmonization Working Group (HWG) report, Airworthiness Assurance HWG report, Avionics HWG report and Sec. 25.1309 specific risk report.
* Oct. 19-21, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., opening reception on Wednesday, and starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday/Friday, Second Annual International Aviation Safety Forum, hosted by the FAA, opening reception at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, Dulles, Va., and regular sessions at the Westfields Marriott, Dulles.
