The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the following meetings:

* Oct. 12, 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Aging Transport Systems Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ATSRAC). Held by teleconference, the teleconference number for callers within the U.S. is (866) 442-8714; for international callers, it is (281) 540-4931. Once connected, follow the prompts. The pass code is 9177755. The meeting is important, as a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) is forthcoming on wiring systems.

* Oct. 19-21, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. opening reception on Wednesday, and starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday/Friday, Second Annual International Aviation Safety Forum, hosted by the FAA, opening reception at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, Dulles, Va., and regular sessions at the Westfields Marriott, Dulles.
