Narrative: 5NM from touchdown on RWY 34 the aircraft began to deviate left of
the approach course. The aircraft continued to descend below the Minimum Descent
Altitude until overshot by ATC. AAIU found that lighting from a 16-storey
building situated at Santry Cross appeared, at night, to resemble the red and
white lights of a runway approach light system. Flight FLT344E had mistaken the

Remarks: ... roof lighting of the 16-storey building for the red and white
lights of a runway approach system. The building is equipped with four fixed red
obstacle lights situated on the roof. One recommendation for avoiding such
visual lighting illusions and seductions on approach is that the EGPWS
'Obstacle' mode should be activated - it's a free update.

Narrative: Cargo aircraft's left main landing gear collapsed on touchdown. Pilot
had unsafe indication, cycled gear, did a flyby and ATC stated gear appeared to
be "down".. but MLG actuator rod had fractured.
Death/Injury: nil
Remarks: Departed Roswell International Air Center at 0800. Substantial damage
to left wing forward and rear spars, the left horizontal stabilizer, the left
propeller and left engine nacelle.

Narrative: XA-MAC was badly damaged during a gear-up landing at Guadalajara
runway 28.  Touched down with the landing gear in transit after an ALT flap
extension

Remarks: Serial no 21014. Domestic non-scheduled passenger flight arriving from
Cancun, Mexico. Both engines contacted the runway and caught fire. See

Narrative: Collided heavily with a reversing Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) oil
tanker. Due to massive congestion of ferry coaches, oil tankers and cargo
vehicles, collisions between vehicles are becoming commonplace at Indian
airports.
Death/Injury: 10 minor injuries
Remarks: Happened near the fire station close to Apron 1 on the international
side. All four major airports in the country -- Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and
Mumbai -- are witness to at least one such incident a month.

compartment. He was hospitalized with severe frostbite to his feet and hands.

Remarks: Flight was from Perm to Moscow. Andrei, fell from the plane frozen
after it landed in Moscow.
