Aircraft: NPRM 14 CFR Parts 121, 125, and 135 Effect: FAA proposes to amend the digital flight data recorder (DFDR) regulations by prohibiting the filtering of some original parameter sensor signals? based on NTSB recommendations?is intended to improve the accuracy and quality of DFDR data. Comments due February 13, 2007. Aircraft: RB211 Trent 768-60, 772-60, and 772B-60 turbofan engines Effect: results from a report that a damaged outer heat shield caused fretting of the oil feed tubes. ..to prevent an uncontained failure of the HP turbine disc and damage to the airplane. AD 2006-23-11 (Final rule ? 16 Jan 07) Aircraft: BAe 146 and Avro 146-RJ Effect: to prevent damage to the pressure skin, failure of certain hydraulic systems, contamination of the cabin with hydraulic mist, increased workload for the flightcrew associated with the loss of one or more hydraulic circuits, and consequent reduced controllability of the airplane. AD 2006-23-12 (final rule ? 18 Dec 06) Aircraft: BAe 146 Effect: to prevent overheating failure of a three-phase circuit breaker. Such failure could prevent an electrical load from being isolated from its electrical supply, which could result in smoke or fire. AD 2006-23-13 (final rule-18 Dec 06) Aircraft: BN-2 Islander Effect: to detect and correct damaged and/or worn horizontal stabilizer attachment bolts and anchor nuts, which could result in failure of the horizontal stabilizer. AD 2006-23-03 (final rule ? 14 Dec 06) Aircraft: Beech C90A, B200, B200C, B300, and B300C Effect: to detect and correct improperly assembled or damaged flight controls, which could result in an unsafe condition by reducing capabilities of the flight controls and lead to loss of control.
