An autoparts alliance between Ford Motor Co. and Mexican industrial conglomerate Grupo Alfa has fared relatively well, despite a slump in U.S. auto sales, according to a report in Mexico City daily Reforma. Ford last year boosted its stake in Alfa autoparts subsidiary Nemak by 30 percent, with Nemak taking control of two mono-block and aluminum head plants owned by Ford in Windsor, Canada, Reforma reported.
