Metaldyne said that it has opened an office in Shanghai, China, as a prelude to establishing a manufacturing presence in the country. The office will support the development of the company's sales, technical and manufacturing capability in the country, as well as a purchasing activity to support Metaldyne's global material requirements, the company said.
"The new office is a logical step for Metaldyne, as the Asia-Pacific region is becoming an increasingly important growth area for our company," said Tim Leuliette, chairman, president and CEO.
