Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedVisteon Awarded Interior/Electrical Business For Toyota's New European Model

Visteon Corp. said that its European operations has won a contract with Toyota of Europe to supply interior, electrical and fuel-related components for the newly launched Toyota Yaris. For the first time, Visteon will be supplying Toyota with nearly 40 plastic interior trim and climate control components for the Toyota Yaris, which is being manufactured at the new Valenciennes plant in France.
These components were developed and manufactured at Visteon's French facilities in Gondecourt and Bellignat. In addition to this contract, Visteon said it also has secured the engineering and development of the security electronics for the vehicle. The security electronics system was engineered and developed at Visteon's technical engineering center in Cologne, Germany, and is manufactured at Visteon's electronics facility in Cadiz, Spain.
