Thermal Energy Gets Honeywell Contracts

Autoparts Report, April 25, 2000

Thermal Energy International Inc. has received contracts from Honeywell Ltd. to provide two hybrid FLU-ACE systems for a multi-million dollar project with an unidentified automaker in Canada.

The FLU-ACE system is designed to reduce fuel consumption, capture waste energy for use in the manufacturer's facility, and eliminate volatile organic compounds from the parts manufacturing process.

Thermal Energy will receive $600,000 for the engineering design and supply of the two systems. The company expects to complete its portion of the project within six months.

Thermal Energy said that by using its system, an automaker can expect to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide by 8,000 metric tons a year, nitrogen oxides by 10 metric tons a year; and unburned hydrocarbons by 5 metric tons a year.
