Delphi Targets Commercial Vehicles For Sliding Door Products

Delphi Corp. said it entered the commercial vehicle market with its power sliding door. Applied to commercial vehicles, both passenger-side and the driver-side doors can be automatically opened and closed. The power sliding door can be operated through an interior switch, a remote keyless entry device or by using a traditional handle, the company said.

To help enhance safety during operation, the power sliding door includes an integrated obstacle detection feature, Delphi said. This feature causes the door to open if an obstacle is encountered while the door is closing. The power operation enhances convenience and operation ease. The power sliding door's modular design saves assembly time and reduces handling costs, Delphi added.
