Autoparts Report, Nov 19, 2002
Superior Industries International, Inc. said that it plans to expand its current annual manufacturing capacity by approximately 25 percent over the next two years, reflecting further gains in its share of the aluminum road wheel market, as well as continued growth in OEM aluminum wheel installation rates on new cars and light trucks.
"Our aggressive expansion plan will allow us to sustain our superior performance at the far higher production rates that our customers will require. We will finance this program exclusively from internal sources," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Louis Borick.
