Hayes Lemmerz Int'l Inc. reported net income of $3.7 million, or 13 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 31, according to its quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company reported net loss of $54 million, or $1.92 a share, for the year- ago period.

Sales rose to $535 million from $515 million in the year-ago period, the filing said. Hayes Lemmerz has been under Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del., since Dec. 5, 2001. The company expects to emerge from bankruptcy in the first half of 2003.
