* Norak Biosciences Inc. of Research Triangle Park recently announced two promotions. Carson R. Loomis, Ph.D., has been promoted to senior vice president of research, and Terry E. Willard has been promoted to executive vice president. Loomis is a founding scientist of the company and is credited with developing Norak's platform Transfluor [TM] technology from a bench-top academic assay to an automated and validated drug discovery technology.
Willard joined Norak in January 2001 as vice president of corporate and business development and is credited with developing and executing Norak's commercial strategy for Transfluor.
