Alexandre appointed to Museum of Natural Sciences Advisory Commission

Dr. Leslie Alexandre, president and CEO of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, has been appointed to the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences Advisory Commission by Gov. Mike Easley.

"I am delighted and honored to be appointed to the Museum of Natural Sciences Advisory Commission," said Alexandre. "I look forward to bringing my knowledge of biotechnology in North Carolina to the commission and contributing to the enhancement of the Museum's educational and scientific exhibits."

Commission duties are to formulate policies for the advancement of the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences and to assist in promoting and developing a wider and more effective use of the museum as an educational, scientific and historical exhibit. The commission has 40 members, each serving a two-year term. The governor appoints 33 members.
