> Karo Bio of Stockholm, Sweden, has announced that it intends to acquire Novalon Pharmaceutical Corp. of Durham through a noncash issue. If Karo shareholders approve the acquisition later this month, the company stands to gain a leading position in the field of nuclear receptors. Karo plans to keep the Durham operation intact, and Novalon shareholders will hold 20 percent of Karo Bio after the acquisition.
