Tranzyme Pharma of Research Triangle Park has raised $32 million in private .nancing led by H.I.G. Ventures; Thomas, McNerney & Partners; and Quaker BioVentures. Additional participants in the round included existing investors, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC Venture Capital), Desjardins Venture Capital, Pacific Rim Ventures and The Solidarity Fund (FTQ).
Voyager Pharmaceuticals of Raleigh completed a $10 million equity placement, mostly purchased by Voyager's existing shareholders.
Biopheresis Technologies of Cary has secured $8 million in Series A financing from European investors including Scandinavian Life Science Venture of Stockholm and First Ventury of Heidelberg, Germany.
