Deadline nears for BIO 2006 Pavilion sponsorship

Time is running out for companies and institutions to register as sponsors of the North Carolina Pavilion at the world's largest biotechnology convention--BIO 2006, scheduled for April 9-12 in Chicago.

The Pavilion signup deadline is Nov. 4. For information, visit the Friends of North Carolina Web site at www.friendsofnc.com or contact Mark Lombard, business development manager for life sciences and biotechnology, at the N.C. The North Carolina Pavilion will encompass 1,600-square-feet of exhibit space promoting the state's capabilities for biotechnology research, business and education with the theme "The State of Minds." Also, a North Carolina reception for company executives will be held at the Chicago Theatre.

At BIO 2005 in Philadelphia this June, more than 40 North Carolina companies and institutions sponsored the North Carolina Pavilion and sent more than 100 staff to work at the exhibit. In all, more than 18,000 people from 56 countries and all 50 U.S. states attended BIO 2005.
