Tranzyme Inc

Tranzyme Inc. of Birmingham, Ala., and Targacept Inc. of Winston-Salem are partnering to develop a novel bioassay for drug discovery in the area of central nervous system diseases. Under the terms of the agreement, Tranzyme will employ the combination of its proprietary technologies for gene transfer and assay development to develop a novel cell-based assay expressing nicotinic acetylcholine receptors provided by Targacept.
