Heinrich Gugger, Ph.D., has been named president and CEO of Paradigm Genetics Inc. (Nasdaq: PDGM) of Research Triangle Park. Most recently, Gugger served as president of Syngenta Crop Protection Inc., with facilities in Greensboro. John Hamer, Ph.D., former interim president and CEO of Paradigm, will continue to serve as the company's chief scientific officer.
In related news, Thomas Colatsky, Ph.D., was appointed vice president of healthcare research.
