Research Triangle Institute in Research Triangle Park recently dedicated its newest research building to Gertrude Mary Cox, a pioneer in the field of statistics. During a 25-year career in the Triangle area, she was instrumental in making the area one of the world's leading centers for the research and application of the statistical sciences.
