Kuo-Hsiung Lee of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in collaboration with SemioChem Corp. of Raleigh, received a $58,778 Collaborative Funding Assistance grant to isolate, identify and synthesize a natural anti-stress product. SemioChem's research has established that human skin extracts contain a naturally occurring compound with inherent relaxing properties.
