BT Catalyst, Dec, 2001

PharmaCore Inc. of High Point has opened a new 13,000-square-foot facility for the manufacture of custom synthetic organic chemicals and the scale-up to multi-kilogram levels of lead compounds and active pharmaceutical intermediates.

The facility includes a 1,000-square-foot clean room certified to handle Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) contracts.

"This facility comprises some of the most sophisticated capabilities available in this field, and we are confident that it will prove to be a significant asset in the development of new drugs," said Edward M. Chait, Ph.D., PharmaCore's president and CEO.
