360Networks Inc., of Denver, Colorado, announced plans to migrate to an all-IP infrastructure, scrapping a $10 million investment in ATM switches. The carrier will rely on multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) for quality of service. Sycamore Networks, Nortel Networks, Fujitsu and Cisco Systems will supply the new networking equipment.
