Covad Communications Group Inc - closing BlueStar division - Company Operations - Brief Article

Covad Communications Group Inc. will close down its BlueStar division, which is a direct seller of high-speed Internet access and other services. BlueStar had been acquired by Covad in September 2000 in an all-stock deal. The move will result in about 400 workers being laid off and will reduce operating costs by about $75 million over the next year.
