ATM: General DataComm Adds Powerful Web-Based ATM Performance Management Solution Under Reseller Agreement with LINMOR - Company Business and Marketing

EDGE, On & About AT&T, Nov 2, 1998

General DataComm, Industries, Inc. announced Monday that it has signed a reseller agreement with leading network software provider LINMOR Technologies (LINMOR). GDC will resell LINMOR's NEBULA Performance Monitor software to customers of its GDC APEX ATM switch family. NEBULA Performance Monitor (PM) provides a powerful, web-based network performance management solution for GDC APEX networks.

NEBULA PM collects vital data regarding the performance of the GDC APEX devices and services, and translates this data into a variety of meaningful reports which can then be used to identify and track performance management metrics relevant to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Customer Network Management (CNM). "GDC's leading edge ProSphere management system is further enhanced with LINMOR's NEBULA Performance Monitor, providing GDC customers with a comprehensive network management solution," said Charles P. Johnson, GDC chairman and chief executive officer. GDC and LINMOR signed a joint marketing agreement last fall and have continued to work together to complement each other's product offerings. LINMOR has developed customer and engineering reports designed specifically for the GDC APEX ATM switch, which are now fully integrated into the latest version of NEBULA Performance Monitor, released earlier this summer. "We are very excited about this new aspect of our continually evolving strategic relationship with GDC," said Paul Newcombe, vice president of Sales and Marketing for LINMOR Technologies. "Having GDC sell our NEBULA Performance Monitor product broadens the scope of our sales strategy and helps us gain greater access to both Network Service Providers and enterprise customers." GDC (http://www.gdc.com) is an acknowledged leader in the design, development, and manufacture of multiservice communications systems for service providers and enterprise businesses.
