"The number of mobile subscribers is expected to reach 300 million by the end of this year and we anticipate around one billion users in 2005," says Mikko Heikkonen, President, Network Systems, Nokia Telecommunications. "Nokia's vision of voice going wireless is being realised. With the increasing demand of advanced voice and data services in GSM networks, we are addressing capacity needs for operators with this new system."
