EDGE, On & About AT&T, Nov 2, 1998

Boca Research, Inc. Monday announced that Navroze S. Mehta, former President and CEO of Comark Communications, Inc., has joined the Company effective immediately as Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Chief Financial Officer. R. Michael Brewer, Boca's previous CFO, left the Company in August to pursue another career opportunity.

Commenting on Mr. Mehta's appointment, Mr. Anthony F. Zalenski, Boca's President and CEO, said: "Navroze is a welcome addition to our executive management team. Most of his career has been spent at a dynamic manufacturer of broadcast electronics equipment and he knows the challenges the high-tech industry faces. He created and implemented a strategic vision that led Comark to dramatic sales growth. We are confident that he can duplicate this performance at Boca." Mr. Mehta's career spans fifteen years in the high-tech industry. For the last eleven years he has been employed by Comark Communications, a subsidiary of the $7 billion global electronics company, Thomson CSF. In addition to serving as Comark's President and CEO for the last two years, Mr. Mehta also held positions of Senior Vice President of Operations and Vice President Finance and Administration. Prior to Comark, he held a variety of management positions with Carrier Corporation, a division of United Technologies. He has broad operational knowledge with full P&L accountability and a range of experience which includes both domestic and international sales and marketing, finance, and research and development. He was a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and holds an MBA from Syracuse University. Boca Research also announced Monday that Michael Reale, Chief Operating Officer, has accepted a special assignment and will no longer be involved in the daily operations of the Company. Boca is realigning Mr. Reale's responsibilities to utilize his manufacturing expertise as the Company moves to secure large OEM opportunities for its Internet access/thin client computing device. Founded in 1985, Boca Research designs, manufactures, markets and supports quality, cost-effective Internet access devices, data communications and networking products to facilitate the transmission of information on personal computers, computer networks and the Internet. The Company also markets its products under the Global Village Communication brand name and sells its products worldwide through distributors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and retailers.
