With the Pure ReQuest! system, Dialogic can now route incoming and internal telephone calls without requiring callers to enter an extension number or go through a names directory. Callers are prompted to say the name of the person or department desired and are efficiently routed to the appropriate extension. The system is being used to route incoming calls, provide directory assistance for internal callers and speed dial outbound calls from contact lists developed for specific individuals within the company. This reduces the number of calls going to company operators while enabling employees on the road to reach anyone within Dialogic by simply dialing the main number. "The Pure ReQuest! system is a real productivity tool and customers enjoy the ease of use and clean interaction," said John Alfieri, president, Sales and Services, the Americas, Dialogic Corporation. "Being able to say someone's name rather than having to remember an extension number is a much more natural caller interface." "As a recognized leader in the computer telephony industry, Dialogic is an expert on evaluating new technology for telecommunications applications," said Jim Murray, Voice Request's eastern region sales director. "The fact that they are using Pure ReQuest! to not only route internal calls but also inbound calls from customers shows that our system improves productivity and provides the accuracy and reliability for even the most discriminate corporate user." Pure ReQuest! is available from resellers nationwide, including GTE Communications Corporation, Voice Request's recently announced national reseller. Dialogic, the global leader in open computer telephony, provides the building blocks and technical services that enable partners to develop solutions for the converging voice and data networks. Dialogic products are used in voice, fax, data, speech recognition, call center management and Internet Protocol (IP) telephony applications in both customer premise equipment (CPE) and public network environments. The company is headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, with regional offices in Brussels, Buenos Aires, Singapore and Tokyo, and sales offices worldwide. With over 150 installations across the United States and Latin America, Voice Request Corporation is the leading supplier of speech-driven call routing systems.
