Food & Drug Packaging, Oct, 2003

* Procter & Gamble has bought the Glide dental floss business from W.L. Gore & Associates. Glide floss is the market leader in dental offices and the number two retail brand in the U.S. with annual sates of more than $45 million. Michael Kehoe, P&G's president of global oral care, says, "P&G will now feature a complete oral care regimen: toothpaste, manual and electric toothbrushes, at-home whitening kits, rinses and now floss.

People are always surprised to learn that Crest has never had a floss. Well, now we do!"
