EPCglobal Inc., the not-for-profit organization entrusted with driving the commercial adoption of the Electronic Product Code (EPC) in global supply chains, has awarded to four testing facilities the first EPCglobal Performance Test Center Accreditation Marks. The Marks indicate that the sites use a standard set of performance test profiles to simulate real-world conditions in testing the readability of end-user products that are tagged with the Electronic Product Code.

The sites am: Pacific RFID Performance Solutions (Hsinchu, Taiwan); Kimberly-Clark Corp. Auto-ID Sensing Technologies Performance Test Center (Neenah, Wis.); METRO Group AG/GSI Germany RFID Test Center (Heuss, Germany); and RFID Research Center, a unit of the Information Technology Research Institute, Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, Ark.).
