P&G enters men's skin care market

Food & Drug Packaging, Oct, 2005

Procter & Gamble is making a push for the men's personal care market in light of its imminent acquisition of Gillette Co.

P&G has come out with a new skin-care line called Boss Skin, co-branding with the Hugo Boss fashion brand. Boss Skin will be an extension of P&G's existing Boss male fragrance.

P&G is seeking to diversify its personal care product line, for which 90% of the sales come from women. Personal-care companies including Clarins, Biotherm, Shiseido, Lancome and Clinique have established men's care lines.
