New glass bottles permit complete extraction of contents
Available in both amber and flint glass, the new 7.5 millimeter Well Bottle is molded with a well in its base to allow for minimum amount of contact surface when nearing completion of product. New 32-ounce PET container reduces packaging costs and helps lengthen shelf life of condiments
The new 32-ounce polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container is the first plastic container to simultaneously reduce packaging costs, provide foods with a longer shelf life and offer customers a more attractive packaging option. Designed specifically for mayonnaise and other condiments, the container weighs 38 grams--one tenth the weight of glass when empty and filled containers are 35% lighter by the case. This leads to reduced shipping costs for the food packager. At a price that is 70% the cost of a 54-gram PET container, the 32-ounce container is the most economical 32-ounce PET mayonnaise container on the market today. When topped with a polypropylene cap, an independent test showed that the 70-millimeter monolayer bottle's shelf life outperforms glass containers four-times, on average. The shatter-proof plastic container will not effect the taste or consistency of mayonnaise. Also available is a ribbed version of the bottle that is the same weight and does not require the use of liquid nitrogen injection to help offset paneling. The ribs are concealed behind the label.
