Easy-open flap grabs attention of medical professionals

In a sterile environment, a medical professional with gloved hands needs to open wrapped packages fast.

Peelwrap[TM] helps it happen.

A new product from Tearstrip Systems Inc., the 3/4-inch wide pressure-sensitive tape has a 1.4-inch wide dry grip area which runs the entire length of the package, in the direction of the film flow. This large area creates a kind of flap for opening is especially important for medical professionals with gloved hands or when urgency requires the easy and fast opening of a wrapped package.

Peelwrap is similar to the tear-and-shrink strip that pulls across a package. Peelwrap's polyethylene substrate is a preferred film for withstanding gamma radiation sterilization. Peelwrap also is ideal for the medical industry because is does not leave a hole in the package for opening that may compromise product and package.

Peelwrap is compliant with Food and Drug Administration regulations and can be printed with custom graphics and instructions.

Installed in-line on the wrapping system, Peelwrap applicators are mounted in the film unwind area and are retrofitted easily to any wrapper, including straight and inverting L-sealers and flowrappers.
