Lightjet dot-matrix coder uses sealed-off C[O.sub.2] SLAB laser technology. The coder marks up to five lines with character heights from 0.08-0.59 inches on surfaces such as paper, corrugated board, glass and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The Lightjet is equipped with a compact printhead and an articulated arm with reach up to five feet. The printhead can be set from the object to be marked at distances up to 5-8.8 inches. The Lightjet has maximum line speeds up to 426 feet per minute.
