The ultraviolet (UV)-filter masterbatch will protect the contents of translucent blow-molded high-density polyethylene bottles. The filter blocks 90 to 96 percent of UV light up to 390 nanometers with virtually no color effect on the bottle appearance which will reduce product complaints and returns. Applications include dishwashing detergents, household cleaners and automotive car care brands.
