Food & Drug Packaging, Dec, 2001
As the flexible packaging market has grown, the need for pouch fitments has also increased because of their consumer convenience in opening and reclosing. Three new versions of pouch closures are available: (1) Pull Push with overcap, (2) Twist with overcap and (3) Twist with Tamper-Evident Band.
The Pull Push closure has been adapted from beverages to dispense product from flexible pouches and works for hair products, creams, lotions, household cleaners or industrial chemicals. The Twist style allows the user to squeeze the pouch and dispense the contents in a controlled stream used in the food market or adapted to any product needing a directional stream of product.
